When someone asks, "How are you?", how do we typically reply? "Oh, busy!"
And that is either said with pride or a sense of complaint!
It's not our goal to make your life busier, but rather more meaningful!
1. Meaningful times of worship!
In Luke 10:38-42, we have a story of two sisters... one is "busy" and complaining and the other is enjoying listening to Jesus (content). Jesus said that Mary (the one sitting), had chosen what was better! What about you? Come and connect with Jesus on Sunday mornings for a meaningful time of worship!
2. Meaningful relationships!
Church is not about a building nor about programs... Buildings are necessary to meet in and programs can be great and beneficial, but the "Church" is people (you and I). We need each other!
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." (1 Thess. 5:11)
We seek to provide meaningful relationships through social gatherings (date nights, bbqs, sports, or just one on one coffees), through small groups, and through praying together as believers (it's not all about the pastor... it's about the "body of believers"). Come and get connected! Build some meaningful relationships!
3. Meaningful opportunities to serve!
It's one thing to go to church... it's another matter to "be" the church. Jesus called us to serve one another in love. We do this in several ways:
- serving in our church (music teams, ushering, cleaning, meals, etc)
- serving in our community (participating in community events, working with other churches and ministries)
- supporting missions (locally, nationally, and internationally)
Are you involved in a meaningful way? Why wait to be asked?
That's about it in a nutshell: Love God... Love People... Serve!
